Whitefly Control – Encarsia (1,000)

Double the wasps, double the whitefly defence! 🪰 1,000 Encarsia formosa parasitic wasps for larger greenhouses or a well-established whitefly problem.

How it works

Delivered as "black scale" pupae on hanging cards, these 1 mm wasps emerge, seek out whitefly larvae and lay their eggs inside them. Parasitised larvae turn black within a couple of weeks, and fresh wasps hatch to keep the pressure on generation after generation.

How to use

Hang the cards on affected plants out of direct sunlight, opening the box only once you're beside the plants. A light treatment of insecticidal soap on the plant tops first helps knock back flying adults. Best above 17 °C.

Good to know: 1,000 pupae — for larger areas. Not available in winter.
