Nematodes for Vine Weevil – 10 Million

Protect your roots from vine weevil grubs! 🌿 These specialist nematodes (Heterorhabditis sp.) are the same ones professional growers rely on to stop vine weevil larvae chewing through the roots of rhododendron, azalea, strawberry and more.

How it works

Microscopic and naturally present in soil (just rarely in high enough numbers), the nematodes are watered in and then actively search out vine weevil larvae. They infect each grub — which turns an ochre colour — and multiply inside it before moving on. Harmless to plants; deadly only to the larvae.

How to use

For outdoor use, at a soil temperature of 12–25 °C. Dissolve in water and apply to the soil around affected plants, keeping it lightly moist afterwards. Time treatments to the larval stages — typically May/June and August/September. A nematode applicator makes larger jobs easy.

Good to know: 10 million nematodes — covers approximately 10–20 m².
