Alocasia chantrieri Pink Variegated is an exceptionally rare variegated form of Alocasia chantrieri, a distinctive Alocasia species native to Southeast Asia. This plant is admired for its elongated arrow shaped leaves and bold structure. In the pink variegated form the deep green foliage is accented by irregular splashes and marbling of soft pink tones that range from blush to dusty rose. The contrast between the dark base color and delicate pink variegation gives the plant a refined and artistic appearance. Each leaf develops unique patterns making this a true collector specimen.
Due to the rarity of pink variegation and the naturally slow growth of the species this plant performs best in controlled indoor environments with stable conditions and attentive care.
Care guide
Light
Bright indirect light. Provide strong filtered light to maintain variegation and support healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight which can damage the lighter areas of the leaves.
High Humidity
High to very high humidity is recommended ideally above sixty five percent. Consistent humidity helps keep the foliage healthy and reduces stress.
Soil
Light chunky soil mix. Use an airy and well draining aroid substrate to support healthy roots and prevent compaction.
Watering
Keep evenly moist. Allow the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely or remain waterlogged.
Temperature
Keep it warm between twenty and twenty eight degrees Celsius or sixty eight to eighty two degrees Fahrenheit. Protect from drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Fertilizer
Light regular feeding during the growing season supports slow steady growth. Use a balanced fertilizer at low strength.
Growth habit and additional care
Upright non climbing growth with elongated foliage. This plant is sensitive to stress low humidity and inconsistent care. Stable conditions minimal disturbance and a consistent routine are essential for long term success.
