The mealybug destroyer, by name and by nature! 🐞 Both the adults and larvae of the ladybird Cryptolaemus montrouzieri devour every species of mealybug — a favourite for citrus trees and ornamental houseplants.

How it works

Adult ladybirds and their fluffy, white-waxed larvae (which cheekily resemble the mealybugs themselves) feed voraciously on mealybug eggs, young and adults alike. They actively seek out the cottony colonies tucked into leaf axils and stems, making them ideal for the hard-to-reach hideouts mealybugs love.

How to use

Release the beetles directly onto affected plants near the mealybug colonies. They settle in best in warm, humid conditions with good light. Handle gently and release soon after arrival.

Good to know: 25 ladybirds. Best in warm greenhouses and indoor spaces.
