Hoya wibergiae is a rare and elegant species native to the Philippines, prized for its soft, matte green leaves and delicate, symmetrical form. The leaves are oval to slightly pointed with subtle veining and a smooth, velvety texture, creating a gentle, understated beauty compared to flashier Hoya varieties. When mature and well cared for, Hoya wibergiaeproduces clusters of creamy white, star-shaped flowers with a sweet, lightly perfumed fragrance.
Its trailing growth habit makes it perfect for hanging planters or cascading from a shelf, where its graceful foliage can be fully appreciated. A true collector’s plant, it’s both subtle and captivating.

Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate leaves. It will tolerate medium light but will grow slower and may not flower.
Watering
Let the soil dry out partially between waterings. Hoya wibergiae is semi-succulent and prefers to be on the drier side rather than too wet. Ensure the pot has drainage holes.
Temperature & Humidity
Prefers warm indoor temperatures around 18–27°C (65–80°F). It enjoys moderate to high humidity, especially if you're encouraging blooms, but adapts to average indoor levels.
Soil
Use a light, well-draining mix with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir or peat moss work well. Good aeration is essential to avoid root rot.
Fertilizing
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. You can also use a bloom-boosting fertilizer to encourage flowering.
Pruning & Maintenance
Little pruning is needed. Just remove dead or damaged leaves. Allow long vines to grow freely or train them along a trellis or hoop. Never remove the flowering spurs (peduncles), as Hoyas re-bloom from the same spot.
Pests
Occasional issues with mealybugs or spider mites, especially in dry conditions. Keep foliage clean and monitor for pests regularly.
