Alocasia Macro Shock Treatment Variegated is a rare cultivated Alocasia developed through shock treatment techniques that induce variegation rather than natural genetic mutation. The plant features large bold leaves with irregular splashes and marbling of cream pale yellow to light green set against a strong green base. The unpredictable nature of shock induced variegation means that every leaf can differ greatly in pattern and intensity making each plant completely unique.
This form has no documented wild origin and is considered an experimental cultivated specimen. Due to the unstable nature of shock induced variegation growth can be unpredictable and requires careful and consistent care making it best suited for experienced collectors.

The plants are not the exact plants in the picture; we receive small cuttings and grow the plants for two months. The plants in the pictures are mature plants, the plant you will get is grown in a 6–9 cm pot.
Care guide
Light
Bright indirect light. Provide strong filtered light to support growth and help maintain variegation. Avoid direct sunlight which can stress the foliage.
High Humidity
High humidity is preferred ideally above sixty percent. Stable humidity helps reduce stress and supports leaf development.
Soil
Light chunky soil mix. Use an airy and well draining aroid substrate to protect the roots and avoid excess moisture.
Watering
Keep evenly moist. Allow the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid both waterlogging and complete drying.
Temperature
Keep it warm between twenty and twenty eight degrees Celsius or sixty eight to eighty two degrees Fahrenheit. Protect from drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Fertilizer
Light regular feeding during the growing season supports recovery and steady growth. Use a balanced fertilizer at low strength.
Growth habit and additional care
Large upright non climbing growth with broad foliage. Shock treated plants are especially sensitive to stress inconsistent care and environmental fluctuations. Stable conditions minimal handling and patience are essential as variegation expression may change over time.
