Large-lawn chafer grub control! 🌱 250 million nematodes (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora/Steinernema feltiae) to protect a big lawn from the root-feeding grubs of the garden chafer.

How it works

Chafer grubs feed on grass roots just below the surface, turning turf dry and yellow and loosening it from the soil, while birds and mammals worsen the damage digging for them. Watered onto the lawn, the microscopic nematodes hunt out the grubs, infect them with lethal bacteria and reproduce inside them before spreading to find the next.

How to use

For outdoor use. Treat from late July to mid-September (about 4 weeks after adults are seen), while larvae are small and near the surface. Dissolve in water and apply straight away, keeping the ground moist for at least two weeks. Best above 12 °C soil temperature; apply early morning, evening or on a cloudy day to protect from UV.

Good to know: 250 million nematodes — covers approximately 300–500 m².
