Hi there!
These are cuttings from our own motherplant. This is a highly creamy sport of Monstera large form. A true gem!
Light
-
Bright, indirect light is essential.
-
Tolerates gentle morning or evening sun; avoid strong midday sun.
-
Insufficient light can cause loss of variegation and weak growth.
Watering
-
Water when the top 3–5 cm of the substrate has dried.
-
Slightly on the drier side is better than too wet.
-
Use room-temperature water when possible.
Substrate
-
Use a very airy, well-draining mix, for example:
-
bark or orchid bark
-
perlite or pumice
-
coco coir or peat
-
-
Avoid compact soil, as it greatly increases the risk of root rot.
Temperature
-
Ideal range: 20–27 °C
-
Avoid temperatures below 16 °C
-
Protect from cold drafts.
Humidity
-
Prefers 60%+ humidity, but adapts to normal indoor conditions.
-
Higher humidity promotes larger, healthier leaves.
Fertilizer
-
Feed lightly during the growing season (spring–summer).
-
Use ¼–½ of the recommended strength.
-
Excess fertilizer can damage the white variegated tissue.
Support
-
Grows best with a moss pole or climbing support.
-
Encourages larger leaves and more stable variegation.
Pruning & Variegation
-
If fully green shoots appear, prune back to a variegated node.
-
Variegation is genetically unstable and highly dependent on light.
Common Issues
-
Brown edges: low humidity, salt buildup, or inconsistent watering.
-
Yellowing leaves: usually caused by overwatering.
-
Very slow growth is normal for this variety.
