Alocasia 'Jacklyn' is a rare and captivating tropical plant, instantly recognizable by its deeply lobed, jagged-edged leaves and vivid green coloration. Each leaf is accented by bold, dark green to black veining, creating a high-contrast, almost hand-drawn appearance. Native to Indonesia and thought to be a naturally occurring hybrid of Alocasia portei and Alocasia zebrina, this variety offers both dramatic structure and wild, organic charm.
With its upright, arching stems and exotic foliage, 'Jacklyn' is a standout centerpiece for any indoor jungle. Perfect for collectors and tropical plant lovers seeking something truly unique.

Light
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light but will grow slower and may lose some vibrancy. Avoid harsh, direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Let the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil dry between waterings. Overwatering or poor drainage can quickly lead to root rot.
Temperature & Humidity
Thrives in warm temperatures between 20–28°C (68–82°F) and loves high humidity (above 60%). Dry air can cause leaf edges to brown or curl. Mist regularly or use a humidifier for best results.
Soil
Use a well-draining, airy mix with coco coir or peat blended with perlite and orchid bark works well to retain moisture without compacting.
Fertilizing
Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring through early fall) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer. Hold off during dormancy in winter.
Pruning & Maintenance
Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves at the base. Jacklyn may go semi-dormant in cooler months. Reduce watering and resume care when new growth returns.
Pests
Keep an eye out for spider mites, thrips, and mealybugs. Regularly inspect new leaves and keep humidity up to discourage infestations.
