Philodendron Applanatum - Preorder

Philodendron applanatum is offered as a pre order. This climbing species is native to tropical regions of South America and is appreciated for its elongated narrow leaves with a smooth surface and slightly rippled edges. As it matures the foliage becomes more sculptural, giving the plant a refined and distinctive appearance that appeals to collectors.

We receive small cuttings and grow the plants for two months. The plants in the pictures are mature plants. The plant you will receive is grown in a 6–9 cm pot.

Care instructions

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight
• Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of the mix feels dry. Keep lightly moist, never soggy
• Humidity: 60–80% preferred for optimal development
• Temperature: 18–28°C. Avoid cold drafts
• Soil: Airy aroid mix with bark, perlite or pumice and coco or peat
