About
Anthurium veitchii is a majestic and easily recognizable species, often referred to as “The King Anthurium” thanks to its long, narrow leaves with deep pleats. Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which may bleach or burn the foliage.
Watering
Water when the top 2 to 3 centimeters (about 1 inch) of soil feels dry. Keep soil evenly moist but never soggy.
Humidity
Prefers high humidity, ideally above 70 percent. Dry air may cause browning along the leaf edges.
Temperature
Best kept between 18 and 26 °C (65 to 79 °F). Protect from drafts and sudden temperature shifts.
Soil
Use a light, airy and well-draining mix. A blend of coco coir, perlite, bark and some sphagnum moss is ideal.
Fertilizing
Feed every two weeks during the growing season with a diluted fertilizer. Avoid overfeeding, especially in winter.
Notes
Allow space for the plant to grow vertically so the leaves can fully extend. Avoid bending or brushing against the foliage, as it is prone to creasing or marking.
