Alocasia cuprea Golden Latte - Preorder

Alocasia cuprea Golden Latte is one of our most unique form of Alocasias, an Alocasia native to Borneo. The species is admired for its thick glossy leaves with a metallic copper sheen and pronounced veining. In the Golden Latte form the reflective foliage is softened by warm creamy golden variegation that appears as marbling and subtle washes across the leaf surface. The result is a rich and elegant color palette that makes each leaf feel unique and highly decorative.

As a selectively cultivated form with slow growth this plant is best suited for controlled indoor environments where stable conditions allow its coloration and texture to develop fully.

Care guide

Light
Bright indirect light. Provide strong filtered light to support healthy growth and maintain the metallic tones and variegation. Avoid direct sunlight which can damage the lighter areas of the leaves.

High Humidity
High to very high humidity is recommended ideally above sixty five percent. Consistent humidity helps preserve leaf texture and reduces stress.

Soil
Light chunky soil mix. Use an airy and well draining aroid substrate to protect the roots and prevent compaction.

Watering
Keep evenly moist. Allow the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely or remain waterlogged.

Temperature
Keep it warm between twenty and twenty eight degrees Celsius or sixty eight to eighty two degrees Fahrenheit. Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Fertilizer
Light regular feeding during the growing season supports slow steady growth. Use a balanced fertilizer at low strength.

Growth habit and additional care
Compact upright growth with no climbing behavior. This plant is sensitive to stress low humidity and inconsistent care. Stable conditions minimal handling and a consistent routine are essential for long term success.
