Alocasia Black Velvet Aurea Gold is an exceptionally rare variegated form of Alocasia reginula, widely known as Black Velvet. Native to Borneo this jewel Alocasia is admired for its thick velvety almost black leaves with striking silver veining. In the Aurea Gold form the dark foliage is accented by warm golden yellow variegation that appears as marbling and patches across the leaf surface creating a rich and luminous contrast. Each leaf develops unique patterns making this plant a highly desirable collector specimen.

Due to the instability of aurea variegation and the naturally slow growth of the species this plant is best suited for controlled indoor environments with stable conditions and attentive care.

Care guide

Light
