About
About
Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' is one of the rarest and most visually striking Monstera cultivars. Its deeply incised, flame-shaped leaves feature narrow, pointed lobes that give the plant a wild and sculptural look. The foliage appears almost feather-like in mature specimens, creating a dynamic, flowing presence unlike any other Monstera. This plant is highly prized by collectors for its uniqueness, elegance and slow but rewarding growth.

Care guide
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the narrow leaf lobes.
Watering
Water when the top 2 to 3 centimeters of soil feels dry. Maintain light moisture in the soil without letting it become soggy.
Humidity
Prefers high humidity, ideally above 70 percent. Dry air may affect the formation and clarity of the leaf lobes.
Temperature
Best kept between 18 and 26 °C. Protect from drafts and sudden temperature shifts.
Soil
Use a light and well-draining mix. A blend of coco coir, perlite and bark ensures healthy roots and good airflow.
Fertilizing
Feed every two weeks during the growing season using a diluted fertilizer. Reduce feeding during winter months.
Notes
As a climbing Monstera, 'Burle Marx Flame' benefits from a moss pole or trellis to encourage upright growth and mature leaf development. Due to its rarity and slow growth, maintaining stable conditions and avoiding overwatering is key to long-term success.
