Alocasia odora Camouflage

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some direct morning or late afternoon sun, prolonged exposure to harsh light can scorch the leaves. In lower light conditions, growth may slow and variegation can fade.

Watering:
Water when the top few centimeters of soil feel dry. The soil should stay lightly moist but not wet. Avoid overwatering, as Alocasia odora is prone to root rot if left in soggy soil.

Humidity:
Thrives in high humidity (above 60%). In drier indoor environments, a humidifier or regular misting can support healthier leaf development.

Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–27 °C (65–81 °F). Avoid temperatures below 15 °C (59 °F) and protect from cold drafts.

Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy mix. A blend of potting soil, bark, perlite or pumice, and some coco coir works well. Good aeration is key to root health.

Feeding:
Feed every 2–3 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer. Pause feeding during the winter months when growth slows.
