Anthurium warocqueanum is an iconic and highly sought-after species often known as the “Queen Anthurium” due to its long, velvety leaves and regal appearance. The foliage can grow impressively long, with a deep green to nearly black surface and striking white veins. Its elegant form and cascading habit make it a true showpiece, though it requires more attention than average.

Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the delicate foliage.

Watering
Water when the top 2 to 3 centimeters (about 1 inch) of soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never wet.

Humidity
Requires very high humidity, ideally above 75 percent. Dry air can lead to brown spots and stunted growth.

Temperature
Best maintained between 18 and 26 °C (65 to 79 °F). Protect from cold air, drafts and sudden shifts.

Soil
Use a very airy, well-draining mix. A blend of coco coir, bark, perlite and some sphagnum moss is ideal.

Fertilizing
Feed lightly every two weeks during the growing season. Avoid strong fertilizers that can stress the plant.
